It’s been three years since Tim Allen’s sitcom Home Improvement was last streamed on Hulu. Now, he’s returning to the platform, and it’s not just Tim’s show. In fact, Hulu added dozens of new titles to its lineup that week.
The first one is the Home Improvement 20th Anniversary Complete Collection box set. While you won’t learn much about how to install drywall or paint your walls, you will get to see the funniest Home Improvement gimmicks in action.
It’s not exactly a new show, but it’s definitely an improvement over the previous incarnation. For instance, while you had to buy the episode or season, you could now stream it on demand with a subscription. This is a major step forward, and Hulu hasn’t been this good with its selections in a while.
The most impressive aspect of all is that you’ll be able to watch the entire show in a single sitting. That’s especially useful if you’re a fan of the show, but have other commitments.
There are plenty of home improvement shows to choose from. Some of them are geared towards renovation or interior design, while others are more specific to the building trade. Others are aimed at families. A few of the best include Full Bloom, Escape to the Chateau, and Country Comfort. You may want to look into one of these for a night off from Last Man Standing.
The “biggest arrival on Hulu this September” isn’t exactly the show that’s going to be the best show on Hulu. If you’re into family sitcoms, though, you’ll have plenty to choose from.
